Chiropractic Care
Mention chiropractic, and most people automatically think of back and neck pain. While we want to provide symptom relief to patients who need it, our care goes beyond getting patients out of pain. It’s about ensuring that the brain and body can communicate effectively.
When the brain and body can communicate without interference, you can enjoy optimal health. At Balance Chiropractic & Wellness, our care can help anybody of any age to have better health, improved function and better adaptability to their environment.
How Stress Impacts Function
From work-related frustrations to parental challenges, stress can impact health and function and diminish one’s quality of life. While it’s hard to avoid the three different types of stress: physical, emotional and chemical, we can help address that stress through chiropractic care.
With chiropractic, you can heal better and feel better.
Our Techniques
Dr. Jen is a full spine adjuster and provides manual adjustments. She uses drop table and manual adjusting. The majority of her patients receive these approaches to care.
Even though Dr. Jen uses manual adjusting (without the drop table) on children, she is incredibly gentle. We describe it as the same pressure used to test the ripeness of a tomato. There is no popping, twisting or cracking involved. Many parents don’t even notice when the adjustment is given!
If you prefer a lighter adjustment style or can’t have a manual adjustment, we offer Activator Methods. We can use this instrument-assisted technique either for the full spine or segmentally.
Dr. Jen performs some cranial sacral work on infants and kids, which may include an intraoral assessment to check their latch and how it is affecting the palate. Cranial sacral work also can be used to address birth traumas such as interventions like forceps or vacuum extraction.
As a Webster Technique certified chiropractor, Dr. Jen evaluates all of her pregnant patients using the technique. This method is a biomechanical technique used to asses the structure and function of the pelvis, and how it relates to uterus. A well balanced pelvis will lead to an environment that allows baby to naturally settle into optimal position. Birth providers do refer pregnant women to Dr. Jen if their babies are in a breech position as she can help.
